Dataset Description
The DCOPEX experiment mainly conducts intensive observation campaigns of summer severe convection at Yangtai Mountain in Beijing. Based on the mountain-top and mountain-foot observation stations, 12 sets of HOBO temperature and humidity loggers are deployed along the Yangtai Mountain transect to establish a vertical profile observation network of temperature and humidity over the area. Meanwhile, wind lidars and other instruments are installed at both the mountain-top and mountain-foot stations to carry out vertical profile observations of atmospheric temperature, humidity, and wind fields. This dataset includes data from three thunderstorm downslope cases, covering radar composite reflectivity, automatic weather station temperature changes, HOBO temperature records, wind profiler radar data, wind lidar measurements, radiosonde data, and GNSS observations. It provides essential data support for investigating the enhancement/weakening characteristics and underlying mechanisms of thunderstorms during their downslope propagation.
DCOPEX主要在北京阳台山开展夏季强对流加密观测试验,依托山顶站和山脚站,在阳台山沿线布设12套HOBO温湿度仪,形成北京阳台山温湿度垂直廓线观测,同时,在山顶站和山脚站布设测风激光雷达等,开展大气温度、湿度、风的垂直廓线观测。该数据集包含3个雷暴下山个例的雷达组合反射率、自动站变温、HOBO温度、风廓线雷达、测风激光雷达、探空、GNSS等数据,为雷暴下山增强/减弱特征机理研究提供数据支撑。
